MILLER, BRABOY & BARRETTE LEAD RIC
AT CORSAIR INVITATIONAL

North Dartmouth, Mass.-Senior Natasha Miller (Wakefield, RI), junior Daria Braboy (Providence, RI) and freshman Destinee Barrette (Warwick, RI) all notched first place finishes to lead the Rhode Island College women’s outdoor track & field team at the 2014 Corsair Invitational, hosted by UMass Dartmouth on Saturday afternoon.

 

The Anchorwomen finished seventh overall (21 teams) with a score of 43. Colby won the meet with a score of 139.

 

Miller finished first in the long jump (4.84m) to go along with a ninth place finish in the 400m (1:02.59).

Braboy took first place in the triple jump (10.92m) and fourth in the 200m (26.72).

 

Barrette placed first in the hammer (48.43m).

 

Sophomore Autumn Wosencroft (Newport, RI) finished second in the 200m (26.48).

 

Freshman Sierra Smith (Foster, RI) took 10th place in the high jump (1.45m), while freshman Lauren Deguire (Blackstone, MA) finished 16th in the 800m (2:36.29).

 

In upcoming action, Rhode Island College competes in the Brown University Invitational on Saturday, April 12 (10 a.m.).
