BRABOY AND WOSENCROFT EARN
ALL-NEW ENGLAND HONORS

Springfield, Mass.-Sophomore Autumn Wosencroft (Newport, RI) and junior Daria Braboy (Providence, RI) each earned All-New England honors to lead the Rhode Island College women’s track and field team at the 2014 N.E. Div. III Championships, hosted by Springfield College on Saturday.

 

The Anchorwomen finished 12th overall (33 teams) with a score of 27. MIT won the meet with a score of 132.

Wosencroft finished second in both the 400m (57.42) and long jump (5.62m), while Braboy placed third in the triple jump (11.44m). Wosencroft's effort in the long jump and Braboy's mark in the triple jump are new RIC records.

The quartet of Wosencroft, Braboy, senior Natasha Miller (Wakefield, RI), and freshman Alison Lomas (Saunderstown, RI) finished ninth in the 4x400m relay (4:04.59).

 

In upcoming action, Rhode Island College will compete at the New England Open Championships, hosted by Westfield State on May 9-10.
