FORBES EARNS ALL-AMERICAN HONORS
& ADVANCES AT NCAA TRACK AND FIELD CHAMPIONSHIPS

Delaware, Ohio.-Rhode Island College junior Jarell Forbes (Providence, RI) placed fifth in the 400m hurdles (52.59) during day one of competition at the 2014 NCAA Div. III Men's and Women's Track and Field Championships, hosted by Ohio Wesleyan University.

 

By virtue of his performance, Forbes attained All-American status and will compete in the finals of the 400m hurdles on Saturday (4:10 p.m.).

In other action, sophomore Edward Cummins (Lincoln, RI) placed 15th in the hammer (55.13m). Freshman Steven Vazquez (Central Falls, RI) will compete in the high jump on Friday, May 23 (5:30 p.m.).

 

On the women's side, sophomore Autumn Wosencroft (Newport, RI) placed 12th in the long jump (5.41m) and freshman Destinee Barrette (Warwick, RI) placed 22nd in the hammer (45.86m).

 

Junior Daria Braboy (Providence, RI) will compete in the triple jump on Saturday, May 24 (3 p.m.).
