RHODE ISLAND COLLEGE PLACES 13
ON 2014 SPRING ACADEMIC TEAM

Providence, R.I.-The Little East Conference office recently announced the honorees for the 2014 Spring All-Academic teams and 13 Rhode Island College student-athletes were selected.

 

Student-athletes earned recognition on the all-academic teams based on the following criteria: at least a sophomore in academic and athletic standing and a minimum cumulative grade point average of a 3.3. The conference office honored student-athletes in the following sports: menís and womenís track & field, softball and womenís lacrosse.

 

The following student-athletes were recognized:

 

SOFTBALL: Senior Maria Darling (Ansonia, CT), sophomore Tori Lussier (North Franklin, CT) and senior Stacy Pokora (Wilton, CT).

 

MENíS OUTDOOR TRACK & FIELD: Sophomore Christian Colavecchio (Foster, RI), sophomore Edward Cummins (Lincoln, RI), senior Tom DeCristofaro (Smithfield, RI) and senior Cameron Richer (Woonsocket, RI).

 

WOMENíS OUTDOOR TRACK & FIELD: Junior Jenna Pare (Tiverton, RI) and senior Danielle Patti (North Providence, RI).

 

WOMENíS LACROSSE: Senior Taryn Carbone (Cranston, RI), senior Sophie Kanno (Cranston, RI), senior Lauren Maisano (Bristol, RI) and senior Sam Nolte (Cranston, RI).
