RIC MEN’S BASKETBALL PICKED NO. 22
IN D3HOOPS.COM PRESEASON POLL

Providence, R.I.-Rhode Island College has been picked No. 22 in the D3Hoops.com Men’s Basketball Preseason Top 25 Poll.

 

Head Coach Bob Walsh’s (Career Record: 184-54, .773) Anchormen are coming off a 26-4 season in which the club notched their seventh consecutive 20-win campaign and equaled the program record for single-season conference victories (13-1). RIC recorded its sixth Little East Conference Regular Season Championship in the last nine years and followed with its fifth Little East Conference Tournament Championship in the last nine years as well. 

 

 

 

Rhode Island College will look to junior All-Little East forward Chris Burton (New Rochelle, NY), in addition to senior guards Nyheem Sanders (Pawtucket, RI), Tom DeCiantis (North Kingstown, RI) and Michael Palumbo (Providence, RI), to lead a group of 10 newcomers to the program. Freshman guard Austin Cilley (Westerly, RI) and junior transfer center Victor Smith (Providence, RI) are expected to be key contributors.

 

In upcoming action, Rhode Island College will face Div. I Providence College at the Dunkin Donuts Center in an exhibition contest on Saturday, Nov. 2 (5:30 p.m.).
