RIC GYMNASTICS FINISHES SIXTH AT
2014 ECAC CHAMPIONSHIPS

Springfield, Mass.-Senior Cory Bridges (Foxboro, MA) tied for 16th on bars (9.125) as Rhode Island College finished sixth (six teams) at the 2014 Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Women's Gymnastics Championships, hosted by Springfield College on Saturday afternoon.

 

Brockport State (188.00), won the championship, Cortland State (186.775) finished second and Ursinus (185.875 rounded out the top three. The hosts (185.275) were third, while Ithaca (179.550) and the Anchorwomen (173.725) finished fifth and sixth, respectively.

 

Bridges also tied for 23rd on vault (9.200).

 

 

 Senior Cory Bridges

 

Freshman Emily Murphy (Hamden, MA) finished eighth in the all-around (34.325) and 27th on vault (9.150). She posted scores of 8.675 on bars, 7.700 on beam and 8.800 on floor.

 

Freshman Megan McNeil (Pawcatuck, CT) tied for 24th (9.075) on floor and finished 26th on bars (8.700)

 

Senior Courtney Saucier (Coventry, RI) placed 27th on floor (9.050) and 30th on beam (8.300).
