CARNEY LEADS RIC MEN'S CROSS COUNTRY AT
UMASS DARTMOUTH INVITATIONAL

North Dartmouth, Mass.-Freshman Jonathan Carney (Bristol, RI) finished 142nd (255 runners) with a time of 28:21.76 to lead the Rhode Island College menís cross country team at the 2014 UMass Dartmouth Cross Country Invitational on Saturday morning.

 

The Anchormen did not score as a team. Franklin Pierce won the meet with a score of 50.

Freshman Jack Carroll (Cumberland, RI) finished 167th with a time of 28:55.04, while classmate Steven Perez (Providence, RI) posted a time of 32:00.99, good enough for 219th.

 

Senior Nicholas Longolucco (Bradford, RI) finished in a time of 33:46.27 which put him in 233rd place.

 

In upcoming action, Rhode Island College will compete at the 2014 Pop Crowell Invitational, hosted by Gordon on Saturday, Sept. 27.
