TELLIER LEADS ANCHORWOMEN
AT POP CROWELL INVITATIONAL

Wenham, Mass.-Junior Rebecca Tellier (Smithfield, RI) finished 14th (149 runners) with a time of 21:07.0 to lead the Rhode Island College women’s cross country team to a fourth place finish (12 teams) at the 2014 Pop Corwell Invitational hosted by Gordon College on Saturday afternoon.

 

The Anchorwomen finished with a team score of 133. The University of New England won the meet with a score of 17.

 

Sophomore Lauren Deguire (Blackstone, MA) finished 31st with a time of 22:13.0, while senior Jenna Pare’ (Tiverton, RI) finished in 22:23.0, which was good enough for 33rd place.

Sophomore Allison Lomas (Saunderstown, RI) posted a time of 22:30.0 for a 36th-place finish, while classmate Abigail Dandurand (Hope Valley, RI) came in 60th with a time of 23:56.0.

 

Sophomore Jessica Trautman (Narragansett, RI) posted a time of 24:49.0 for a 78th place finish. Freshman Alicia Holloway (Providence, RI) finished 88th with a time of 25:31.0.

 

Freshman Marisa Longolucco (Bradford, RI) placed 129th with a time of 30:19.0. Senior Julie Merlain (Providence, RI) finished 138th with a time of 31:24.0.

 

In upcoming action, Rhode Island College will compete at the Westfield State Invitational on Saturday, Oct. 11 (11 a.m.).
