RHODE ISLAND COLLEGE PLACES SEVENTH AT
WESTERN NEW ENGLAND GOLDEN BEAR INVITATIONAL

Springfield, Mass.-Junior Rebecca Tellier (Smithfield, RI) finished 11th (210 runners) with a time of 20:27.31 to lead the Rhode Island College women’s cross country team to a 7th-place (22 teams) finish at the 2014 WNE Golden Bear Invitational hosted by Western New England on Saturday afternoon.

 

The Anchorwomen finished with a team score of 170. Roger Williams won the meet with a score of 61.

 

Senior Jenna Pare’ (Tiverton, RI) finished 18th with a time of 20:45.88. Sophomore Lauren Deguire (Blackstone, MA) finished 35th with a time of 21:11.78.

Sophomore Allison Lomas (Saunderstown, RI) finished 62nd with a time of 22:09.47. Sophomore Abigail Dandurand (Hope Valley, RI) finished 64th with a time of 22:14.50. Sophomore Jenna Capobianco (Foster, RI) placed 93rd with a time of 23:09.06.

 

Sophomore Jessica Trautman (Narragansett, RI) placed 111th with a time of 23:40.75. Freshman Marisa Longolucco (Bradford, RI) placed 189th with a time of 28:17.09. Senior Julie Merlain (Providence, RI) finished 197th with a time of 29:11.47.

 

In upcoming action, Rhode Island College will compete at the 2014 Little East Conference and New England Alliance Championships, hosted by MCLA on Saturday, Nov. 1.
