ANCHORMEN COMPLETE DAY ONE AT NEIGA CHAMPIONSHIPS IN SECOND PLACE

Brewster, Mass.-Rhode Island College  finished day one of the 80th Annual New England Intercollegiate Golf Association (NEIGA) Championships in second place among Div. III institutions with a score of 316 (+28).

 

The Anchormen trail Div. III leader Husson (313; +25) by three strokes. The event is being played at the Captains Course.

 

Junior Jonathan Cooper (Berkley, MA) is tied for second overall with a score of 76 (+4).  There are 107 Div. III competitors. Senior Patrick Ford (Halifax, MA) is currently tied for 14th with a score of 79 (+7).

 Freshman Drew Quirk (Longmeadow, MA) is tied for 22nd with an 80 (+8). Senior Ryan Butler (Windham, NH) shot an 81 (+9) to tie for 29th.

 

Junior Peter Camerlengo (Pembroke, MA) rounded out the RIC contingent in a tie for 61st (84; +12).

 

The final round begins tomorrow morning ( a.m.).
