MENíS TRACK & FIELD FINISHES THIRD
AT CORSAIR INVITATIONAL

North Dartmouth, Mass.-Senior Jarell Forbes (Providence, RI) placed in the top two in three events to lead the Rhode Island College menís track & field team at the Corsair Classic, hosted by UMass Dartmouth on Saturday.

 

The Anchormen placed third (17 teams) with a score of 77. Bridgewater State won the meet with a score of 118.

 

Forbes took first in the 400m hurdles (56.46) and second in both the 110m hurdles (14.96) and the high jump (1.88m).

 

 

 Junior Edward Cummins

 

Junior Ed Cummins (Lincoln, RI) took first in the hammer (51.40m), sixth in the discus (38.30m) and 11th in the shot (11.93m).

 

Senior Craig Amado (Providence, RI) took first in the triple jump (13.79m).

 

Sophomore Colin Cabral (Cumberland, RI) placed third in the hammer (43.68m), fourth in the shot (12.58m) and 27th in the discus (26.87m). 

 

In upcoming action, Rhode Island College will compete at the Brown Invitational on Saturday, April 11.
