ANCHORMEN WIN HAMPTON INN COLLEGIATE INVITE

Dartmouth, Mass.-Senior Patrick Ford (Halifax, MA) finished in a tie for sixth place with a two-day total of 157 (79, 78; +13) to the Rhode Island College menís golf team to the Hampton Inn Collegiate Invite championship on Saturday afternoon.

 

RIC won the event (17 teams), which hosted by UMass Dartmouth at Allendale Country Club, with a score of 641 (314, 327; +65). Endicott and Salem State finished in a second place tie, nine strokes behind with a two-day 650 (+74).

 

Junior Jonathan Cooper (Berkley, MA) finished in a ninth place tie with a two-day score of 158 (73, 85; +14). Classmate Peter Camerlengo (Pembroke, MA) finished in a tie for 11th with a score of 160 (79, 81; +16).

 

 

 

Senior Ryan Butler (Windham, NH) finished in a tie for 28th with a two-day score of 166 (83, 83; +22). Freshman Drew Quirk (Longmeadow, MA) rounded out the Rhode Island College quintet in a tie for 43rd with a two-day total of 172 (86, 86; +28).

 

In upcoming action, the Anchormen will compete at the Worcester State Invitational on Tuesday, April 14 (10 a.m.).
