DYLAN PINGITORE FIRES NO-HITTER AS ANCHORMEN DOWN CORSAIRS, 11-0

Providence, R.I.-Junior pitcher Dylan Pingitore (Johnston, RI) fired a no-hitter as Rhode Island College defeated UMass Dartmouth, 11-0 (7 innings), in Little East Conference baseball action played at Anchorman Field on Tuesday afternoon.

Pingitore (2-1) allowed just four baserunners, on three walks and an error, to go along with eight strikeouts, as RIC (13-7, 4-3 LEC) pounded out 11 runs on 14 hits. The Corsairs (12-8, 4-3 LEC) did not get a runner past second base as the game was ended early due to the conference’s 10-run rule.
