RIC PLACES FIFTH AT ERIC
LOESCHNER INVITATIONAL

Fitchburg, Mass.-Senior Daria Braboy (Providence, RI) recorded three top-five finishes to lead the Rhode Island College women’s track & field team to a fifth place finish at the Eric Loeschner Invitational hosted by Fitchburg State on Saturday afternoon.

 

The Anchorwomen placed fifth (16 teams) with a score of 64.0. WPI won the meet with a score of 186.0.

 

Braboy placed first in the triple jump (11.43m), fourth in the 100m (12.94) and fourth in the 200m (26.21).

 

 

 

 

Junior Autumn Wosencroft (Newport, RI) placed second in the long jump (5.17m) and third in the 200m (26.08).

 

Sophomore Destinee Barrette (Warwick, RI) placed second in the hammer (49.59m) and fourth in the shot (10.89m), which was a new program record.

 

Freshman Sydney Curran (North Kingstown, RI) placed fifth in the pole vault (2.45m).

 

In upcoming action, Rhode Island College will compete at the N.E. Alliance Championships, hosted by Fitchburg State on Saturday, April 25.
