AMADO PACES ANCHORMEN IN 14TH PLACE FINISH AT ECAC MEN'S
TRACK & FIELD CHAMPIONSHIPS

Springfield, Mass.-Senior Craig Amado (Providence, RI) earned All-ECAC honors to lead the Rhode Island College menís track & field team at the 2015 ECAC Div. III Track & Field Championships hosted by Springfield College on Friday and Saturday.

 

RIC placed 14th (56 teams) with a score of 18.0. Brockport State won the meet with a score of 72.0.

Amado took home the ECAC Championship in the triple jump (15.15m) setting a new school record with a first-place effort.

 

Senior Jarell Forbes (Providence, RI) earned All-ECAC accolades by finishing fourth in the 400m hurdles (53.62).

 

Junior Edward Cummins (Lincoln, RI) earned All-ECAC honors with a sixth place finish in the hammer (57.23m).

 

 Rhode Island College will find out its qualifiers to the 2015 NCAA Men's Outdoor Track & Field National Championships on Monday (9 a.m.).
