STEVEN VAZQUEZ EARNS
ALL-AMERICAN HONORS IN THE HIGH JUMP

Amado & Braboy Compete in the Triple Jump

Canton, N.Y.-Rhode Island College  sophomore Steven Vazquez (Central, RI) earned All-American honors in the high jump at the 2015 NCAA Div. III Men's & Women's Outdoor Track & Field National Championships, hosted by St. Lawrence University on Saturday afternoon.

 

Vazquez placed second in the high jump (2.08m). It was the third All-American honor for sophomore, who also finished second during the 2014 outdoor and 2015 indoor campaigns.

 Senior Craig Amado (Providence, RI) finished 12th in the triple jump (14.29m), while classmate Daria Braboy (Providence, RI) posted a 12th place (11.76m) effort in the same event in women's competition.

 

On Friday afternoon, junior Edward Cummins (Lincoln, RI) earned All-American honors in the hammer with a sixth place (59.12m), program-record performance. On the women's side, sophomore Destinee Barrette (Warwick, RI) finished 12th in the hammer (51.15m).
