WOSENCROFT LEADS WOMEN'S TRACK TO
WIN AT COAST GUARD INVITATIONAL

New London, Conn.-Junior Autumn Wosencroft (Newport, RI) earned first place finishes in the 55m (7.65), 200m (27.00) and 400m (1:02.54), a second place finish in the long jump (5.01m) and was fourth in the triple jump (10.24m) to pace the Rhode Island College women’s indoor track & field team at the Coast Guard Winter Invitational on Saturday afternoon.

 

The Anchorwomen placed first (four teams) with a score of 176. Coast Guard (132), Westfield State (105) and Eastern Connecticut (52) also competed at the event.

 

 

 

Senior Daria Braboy (Providence, RI) earned first place finishes in the 600m (1:45.61), long jump (5.07m) and triple jump (10.82m). She also finished second in both the 55m (7.70) and the 200m (27.27).

 

Freshman Alicia Holloway (Providence, RI) placed fourth in the 200m (29.30), fourth in the 400m (1:07.62), second in the 55m hurdle (9.01) and second in the high jump (1.47m).

 

In upcoming action, Rhode Island will compete at the Wesleyan Invitational on Saturday, Jan. 24.
