FORBES WINS 60M HURDLES AS ANCHORMEN COMPETE AT WESLEYAN INVITATIONAL

Middletown, Conn.-Senior Jarell Forbes (Providence, RI) recorded a first place finish in the 60m hurdles (8.52), to go along with a second place finish in the 400m (52.11) and a fourth place finish in the high jump (1.87m), to pace the Rhode Island College menís indoor track & field team at the Wesleyan Track & Field Invitational on Saturday afternoon.

 

This was an individual meet with no team scoring.

 

Junior Edward Cummins (Lincoln, RI) placed first in the weight throw (16.82m) and third in the shot (12.32m).

Freshman Akiel Legall (Providence, RI) finished first in both the long jump (6.55m) and the 200m (23.35). He also finished second in the 60m (7.18).

 

Sophomore Steven Vazquez (Central Falls, RI) eighth in the 60m (7.63), sixth in the 200m (24.16), second in the high jump (2.02m).

 

In upcoming action, Rhode Island College will compete at the Boston University Invitational on Saturday, Jan. 31.
