RIC GYMNASTICS FINISHES FOURTH
AT WEST CHESTER QUAD

West Chester, Pa.-Freshman Courtney Osborn (Pomfret, CT) placed fifth in the all-around to lead the Rhode Island College women’s gymnastics team to a fourth place (four teams) finish at the West Chester Quad on Saturday evening.

 

Rhode Island finished with a team score of 175.400. Bridgeport won the quad with a 194.125, followed by West Chester (191.825) and Ursinus (190.325).

 

Osborn scored a 9.275 on vault, 8.850 on bars, 8.650 on beam and 8.400 on floor for a total of 35.175.

 

Junior Emma Hartan (Hebron, CT) scored a team-high 9.475 on beam, good enough for 14th overall. She also competed on vault (8.950) and floor (8.900).

Freshman Victoria Costello (Housatonic, MA) scored a 9.400 on vault, good enough for 15th and a 7.900 on bars. Freshman Cailee Mallory (Rye, NH) scored a 9.250 on beam.

 

Bridgeport senior Sasha Tsikhanovich (Marysville, OH) scored a meet-high 9.875 on floor for the Purple Knights. She also scored on vault (9.700), bars (9.675) and beam (9.500) for an all-around score of 38.750, good enough for second overall.

 

 In upcoming action, Rhode Island College will compete at a quad-meet hosted by Ithaca on Sunday, Feb. 14.
