WOSENCROFT, BRABOY & BARRETTE EARN
ALL-NEW ENGLAND HONORS

Holyoke, Mass.-Junior Autumn Wosencroft (Newport, RI) and senior Daria Braboy (Providence, RI) each earned All-New England honors in two events to lead the Rhode Island College at the 2015 New England Div. III Women’s Indoor Track and Field Championships hosted by Smith College on Saturday afternoon.

 

The Anchorwomen placed 10th (30 teams) with a score of 34.0. MIT won the event with a score of 151.0.

 

 

 

Wosencroft captured All-New England honors by finishing first in the 400m (58.48) and second in the 200m (25.97). She also placed ninth in the long jump (5.14m).

 

Braboy took home All-New England honors with a second place finish in the 400m (58.51) and a fifth place finish in the triple jump (11.48m), which was a new program record.

 

Sophomore Destinee Barrette (Warwick, RI) earned All-New England honors with a fifth place finish in the weight throw (14.81m).

 

Freshman Alicia Holloway (Providence, RI) placed 14th in the 60m (9.56). The 4x400m relay team consisting of Wosencroft, Braboy, Holloway and sophomore Allison Lomas (Saunderstown, RI) placed 11th (4:07.96).

 

In upcoming action, Rhode Island College will compete at the N.E. Open Championships on Friday and Saturday, Feb. 27-28.
