WOSENCROFT LEADS RIC TO SEVENTH PLACE FINISH AT COAST GUARD INVITATIONAL

New London, Conn.-Junior Autumn Wosencroft (Newport, RI) took home first place in the long jump (5.16m) to lead the Rhode Island College women’s track & field team at the Coast Guard Spring Invitational on Saturday afternoon.

 

The Anchorwomen finished in seventh place (12 teams) with a score of 29.50. WPI won the meet with a score of 150.50.

 

 

 Junior Autumn Wosencroft

 

Sophomore Destinee Barrette (Warwick, RI) placed second in the hammer (43.17m). Senior Daria Braboy (Providence, RI) placed second in the 100m (12.97).

 

Freshman Sydney Curran (North Kingstown, RI) placed fifth in the pole vault (2.75m).

 

 In upcoming action, Rhode Island College will compete at the UMass Dartmouth Invitational on Saturday, April 4.
