RIC FINISHES 11TH AT WILLIAMS INVITATIONAL

Williamstown, Mass.-Rhode Island College finished 11th (20 teams) at the 2015 Williams College Invitational played at the Taconic Golf Club's Champions Course on Saturday and Sunday afternoons.

 

 RIC, which finished round one in first place with a score of 298, carded a score of 330 in the final round to finish with a two-day total of 628 (+60). Trinity won the invitational with a score of 601 (301, 300; +33).

 

 Junior Steven Letterle (Cranston, RI) led the way for the Anchormen with a score of 150 (75, 75; +8) and tied for seventh overall.

 

Senior Jonathan Cooper (Berkley, MA) tied for 18th with a score of 153 (72, 81; +11).

 

Freshman Tom Sheran (Marston Mills, MA) carded a two-day score of 160 (74, 86; +18) and tied for 51st overall.

 

 Senior Peter Camerlengo (Pembroke, MA) tied for 71st with a score of 165 (77, 88; +23).

 Sophomore Drew Quick (Longmeadow, MA) finished 80th with a score of 168 (78,90; +26).

 

In upcoming action, Rhode Island College will compete at the MCLA Invitational on Tuesday, Sept. 15.
