TJ LYNCH NAMED LITTLE EAST
BASEBALL PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Providence, R.I.-Rhode Island College junior third baseman TJ Lynch (South Kingstown, RI) was named the Little East Conference Baseball Player of the Week for his performance in a 3-0 week for the Anchormen.

 

Lynch batted .538 (7-for-14) to go along with seven hits, seven runs scored, nine RBI, two homers and one stolen base. He opened the week going 3-for-6 with three runs scored, two RBI, one homer and a stolen base in a 11-5 victory over Worcester State. He followed that up with a 1-for-3 day to go along with two runs scored in an 11-8 win over Becker. Lynch finished the week by going 3-for-4 with two runs scored, seven RBI and one homer, a grand slam, in an 11-4 victory at Brandeis on March 31.

 

 

 

For the season, Lynch has played in 17 games, starting all of them. He is batting .321 (17-for-53) with 17 hits, five doubles, two homers, 11 runs scored and 17 RBI. He is leading the Anchormen with a .528 slugging percentage.

 

In upcoming action, Rhode Island College will host Fitchburg State on Wednesday, April 6 (3:30 p.m.)
