COOPER PLACES THIRD AS ANCHORMEN FINISH FOURTH AT HAMPTON INN INVITATIONAL

North Dartmouth, Mass.-Rhode Island College shot a two-day score of 647 (329, 318; +71) to finish in fourth place at the Hampton Inn Collegiate Invitational, hosted by UMass Dartmouth on Friday and Saturday afternoons.

 

Husson won the event (18 teams) with a score of 642 (325, 317; +66) with Salem State and Endicott finishing in a tie for second with a 645 (+69).

 

Senior Jonathan Cooper (Berkley, MA) finished in third place with a two-day score of 151 (78, 73; +7). Freshman Tom Sheran (Marston Mills, MA) finished in a 14th-place tie with a two-day total of 162 (82, 80; +18).

Senior Pete Camerlengo (Pembroke, MA) finished in a tie for 36th with a score of 167 (87, 80; +23). Sophomore Drew Quirk (Longmeadow, MA) finished tied for 45th with a score of 169 (82, 87; 169).

 

Junior Steven Letterle (Cranston, RI) finished in 54th place with a score of 172 (87, 85; +28).

 

In upcoming action, Rhode Island College will compete at the Worcester State Invitational on Tuesday, April 12 (10 a.m.).
