LAUREN DUVALL NAMED LITTLE EAST
SOFTBALL PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Providence, R.I.-Rhode Island College junior center fielder Lauren Duvall (East Greenwich, RI) was named the Little East Conference Softball Player of the Week for her performance in a 2-2 week for the Anchorwomen.

 

Duvall batted .571 (8-for-14) to go along with eight hits, eight runs scored, four doubles, one triple, four RBI and two stolen bases. She owned a 1.000 slugging percentage and a .625 on-base percentage.

 

Duvall went 4-for-7 with four runs scored, four hits, three doubles and two RBI as the Anchorwomen swept Southern Maine (5-3, 12-11) at the Dayna A. Bazar Softball Complex on Sunday afternoon. She went 4-for-7 with four runs scored in a pair of losses to Keene State on April 9.

 

 

 

For the season, she has played in 18 games, starting 14 of them. Duvall is batting .490 (24-for-49) to go along with 20 runs scored, 24 hits, eight doubles, five triples, one home run, 16 RBI and seven stolen bases. She owns a .918 slugging percentage, a .500 on-base percentage and a .943 fielding percentage.

 

Head Coach Janice DiNobile’s team is currently 10-8 overall and 2-2 in the Little East Conference.

 

In upcoming action, Rhode Island College will play at Worcester State (DH) on Thursday, April 14 (4 p.m.).
