CUMMINS REGISTERS THREE TOP-10 FINISHES
AT MIT INVITATIONAL

Cambridge, Mass.óRhode Island College senior Edward Cummins (Lincoln, RI) registered three top-10 finishes to lead the menís indoor track & field team at the MIT Sean Collier Invitational on Saturday afternoon.

 

This was an individual meet with no team scoring. The event featured institutions from all three NCAA divisions.

 

Cummins finished first in the hammer (57.94m), third in the discus (42.03m) and sixth in the shot (13.10m).

Freshman Newell Roberts (Providence, RI) finished third in the pole vault (4.25m).

 

Sophomore  Vincent Santos (Narragansett, RI) finished second in the 110m hurdles (16.06), 12th in the triple jump (11.22m) and ninth as a member of the 4x100m relay (45.97), while also competing in the 400m hurdles and as a member of the 4x400m relay.

 

In upcoming action, Rhode Island College will compete at the 2016 Little East Conference Championships, hosted by UMass Dartmouth on Saturday, April 30.
