COOPER CONTINUES STRONG PERFORMANCE
AT NCAA NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS

Penfield, N.Y.--Rhode Island College senior Jonathan Cooper (Berkley, MA) shot a six-over 78 while competing as an individual during the third round of the 2016 NCAA Div. III Mens Golf National Championships hosted by St. John Fisher on Thursday afternoon.

 

 

 

Cooper, the first RIC golfer to make the cut at the NCAAs, has carded a three-day score of 226 (74,74,78; +11), which puts him in a 24th-place tie (81 competitors) for the tournament. He is seven shots back of the leaders.

 

Cooper will continue play in the final round tomorrow and tees off at 9:10 a.m. The Anchormen finished 25th (41 teams) as a team with a two-day score of 628 (316, 312; +56) yesterday afternoon.
