RIC FALLS TO WEST CHESTER AND CORTLAND

West Chester, Penn.--Freshman Allie DiBiase (North Kingstown, RI) finished third in the all-around with a combined score of 35.700 to lead the Rhode Island College women's gymnastics team in a pair of losses West Chester on Saturday afternoon.

 

RIC lost to West Chester, 191.450-175.825 and to Cortland State, 186.775-175.825.

 

DiBiase finished 10th on beam with a 9.000, 11th on vault with a 9.275, 11th on floor with a 9.100 and 15th on bars with an 8.325 to lead the Anchorwomen.

Sophomore Erin Shea (Braintree, MA) finished 11th on vault with a 9.275 and 13th on floor with an 8.950, while also competing on beam (7.925).

 

Sophomore Courtney Osborn (Pomfret, CT) finished ninth on bars with an 8.950, 14th on beam with an 8.600, 15th on floor with a 8.750 and 16th on vault with a 9.100 to finish fourth among the all-around competitors with a 35.400.

 

Freshman Alexis daFonseca (Cranston, RI) finished eighth on beam with a 9.100. Sophomore Victoria Costello (Housatonic, MA) finished 14th on vault (9.150).

 

In upcoming action, Rhode Island College will compete at Brown University on Sunday, Jan. 24.
