RIC COMES IN FOURTH AT
BROWN INVITATIONAL

Providence, R.I.-Rhode Island College freshman Allie DiBiase (North Kingstown, RI) finished third in the all-around with a score of 35.325 to lead the women's gymnastics team to a fourth place finish (four teams) at the Brown Invitational on Sunday afternoon.

 

RIC compiled a team score of 176.700, a new high for the season. Div. I Brown (191.75) won the meet, followed by Div. II University of Bridgeport (190.850) and Div. II Southern Connecticut State (186.625).

 

DiBiase finished in a tie for 16th on floor (9.150), was 18th on beam (8.750), 20th on bars (8.300) and 24th on vault (9.125) to finish with an all-around total of 35.325.

 

 

 Senior Emma Hartan

 

Senior Emma Hartan (Hebron, CT) finished 14th on floor (9.250), 23rd on vault (9.250) and 24th on beam (7.225).

 

Junior Erin Craig (Weymouth, MA) finished 22nd on vault (9.300). Sophomore Courtney Osborn (Pomfret, CT) finished tied for 16th on vault (9.500), was 19th on bars (8.450), 21st on beam (8.300) and 21st on floor (8.975) to finish with an all-around score of 35.225 to round out the four-event competitors. Freshman Kyndel Yett (Carrollton, GA) finished 20th on floor (9.050).

 

In upcoming action, the Anchorwomen will travel to Brockport on Sunday, Feb. 7 (noon).
