OSBORN LEADS ANCHORWOMEN IN
THIRD-PLACE EFFORT AT YALE

New Haven, Conn.-Sophomore Courtney Osborn (Pomfret, CT) finished fifth in the all-around with a score of 36.775 to lead the Rhode Island College women's gymnastics team at the Yale Invitational on Saturday afternoon.

 

Div. I Yale won the meet with a score of 192.275. Div. II West Chester came in second with a score of 191.125 with the Anchorwomen coming in third with a score of 176.325.

 

Osborn finished first on the squad on both bars (8.850), and floor (9.050), while ranking second on both beam (9.375) and vault (9.500). Freshman Kyndel Yett (Carrollton, GA) finished first on the team on vault (9.525), tying the sixth-highest score on that event in program history.

Freshman Allie DiBiase (North Kingstown, RI) finished sixth in the all-around with individual scores of 9.300 on vault, 7.000 on bars, 8.700 on beam and 8.950 on floor for a total scored of 33.950. Sophomore Cailee Mallory (Rye, NH) finished first on the squad with a 9.450-effort on beam.     

 

In upcoming action, Rhode Island College will host its home opener tomorrow afternoon when the Anchorwomen face NCGA East rival Springfield (1 p.m.) at The Murray Center.
