ALEX MOORE AND DEVIN HILL NAMED
SECOND TEAM ALL-LITTLE EAST

Providence, R.I.-Rhode Island College senior forward Devin Hill (Danielson, CT) and junior guard Alex Moore (West Newbury, MA) were each named Second Team All-Little East for their respective performances in women’s basketball this season.

 

Hill, who also secured a spot on the league’s All-Defensive Team, played in 24 games, starting all of them. She averaged 16.8 points, 6.7 rebounds, 1.3 assists, 1.4 steals and 1.3 blocks per game. Hill led the team in points, rebounds, free throw percentage (75.4 percent), steals and blocks.

Moore, who earned Second Team All-Conference honors for the second straight season, played in 23 games, starting 22 of them. She averaged 13.0 points, 6.1 rebounds, 3.8 assists, 1.3 steals and 0.5 blocks per game. Moore led the team in assists, while ranking second on the team in points, rebounds, free throw percentage (71.6 percent) and steals.

Head Coach Glenn Senecal’s team finished the season with a 7-17 record overall and a 5-9 mark (seventh place) in Little East play. The Anchorwomen were the seventh seed in the Little East Conference Tournament, advancing to the quarterfinals where they fell to the second-seeded Keene State, 70-58, on Feb. 23.
