RHODE ISLAND COLLEGE PLACES
10 STUDENT-ATHLETES ON WINTER ALL-ACADEMIC TEAM

Providence, R.I.-Ten Rhode Island College student-athletes were named to the 2015-16 Little East Conference Winter All-Academic team as announced by the league office today.

 

Student-athletes earned recognition on the all-academic teams based on the following criteria: at least a sophomore in academic and athletic standing and a minimum cumulative grade point average of a 3.3. The conference office honored student-athletes in the following sports: menís and womenís basketball, womenís swimming & diving and menís and womenís indoor track & field.

 

The following student-athletes were recognized:

 

Menís Indoor Track & Field: Senior Christian Colavecchio (Foster, RI), senior Edward Cummins (Lincoln, RI), senior Kevin Redmond (Wakefield, RI), junior Seth Larbi (Pawtucket, RI) and sophomore Jonathan Carney (Bristol, RI).

 

Womenís Indoor Track & Field: Junior Lauren Deguire (Blackstone, MA) and junior Sandra Semedo (Providence, RI).

 

Womenís Swimming: Senior Marykate McCutcheon (Smithfield, RI) and sophomore Sydney Curran (North Kingstown, RI).

 

Womenís Basketball: Junior Meghan Reall (Smithfield, RI).
