RHODE ISLAND COLLEGE WOMEN’S GOLF
2016 PRESEASON PREVIEW

Providence, R.I.-One of the newest programs at Rhode Island College, Head Women’s Golf Coach Gene St. Pierre and the Anchorwomen are looking forward to the 2016-17 campaign with one of the largest rosters the program has fielded in its six-year history.

 

Senior Lauryn Burd (Cranston, RI) will provide leadership this year for RIC and is the only returning letterwinner for the Anchorwomen.  “I’m excited for this year to see what we can do,” said St. Pierre.

“I have a strong recruiting class of freshmen, highlighted by Nicole Langella (Pembroke, MA),” St. Pierre added. “They’ll be coming in looking to make an immediate impact on the team.”

 

The Anchorwomen will play their first match of the season on Saturday, Sept. 10 when they travel to Wellesley for a tri-match with Husson. RIC will host Suffolk in a head-to-head matchup at Valley Country Club on Sunday, October 2nd.
