PATTERSON TIES FOR FIRST AS MEN'S GOLF FINISHES SECOND AT ROGER WILLIAMS INVITATIONAL

Portsmouth, R.I.-Rhode Island College freshman Nathan Patterson (Conway, MA) picked up co-medalist honors as he tied for first place with an even par 71 at the Roger Williams Invitational played at Montaup Country Club in Portsmouth, RI on Wednesday afternoon. 

 

The Anchormen finished in second place with a team score of 299 over the course that measured 7,403 yards, while Babson took home the team title with a 297.

Junior Drew Quirk (Longmeadow, MA) finished in a tie for third place with a 74, while junior Austin Cilley (Westerly, RI) rounded out the top-10 performers for RIC with a tie for ninth (76).  Sophomore Michael Caparco (Johnston, RI) finished in a tie for 13th (78) and senior Steven Letterle (Cranston, RI) tied for 16th (80).

 

Team Scores: Babson (297), Rhode Island College (299), Wentworth (308), Roger Williams A (313), Roger Williams B (321), Elms (322), UMass Dartmouth (335), Becker (383), Eastern Nazarene (419).

 

In upcoming action, the Anchormen will tee off at the Williams Invitational on Saturday, Sept. 24 (1 p.m.).
