ANCHORMEN WRAP UP WILLIAMS INVITATIONAL
WITH 11TH OVERALL FINISH

Williamstown, Mass.-The Rhode Island College mens golf team notched an 11th place finish at the Williams Fall Invitational, played at the Taconic Golf Club on Saturday and Sunday, Sept. 24-25. 

 

The Anchormen carded a team score of 645 (317, 328), while host Williams took home first place at the 18-team tournament with a 599 (302, 297).

 

The Anchormen were led by junior Austin Cilley (Westerly, RI), who tied for 10th place with a 151 (76, 75). Senior John Roderick (Hope, RI) tied for 46th place with a 164 (80, 84). Junior Drew Quirk (Longmeadow, MA) rounded out the top-50 performers for RIC with a 164 (80, 85). Senior Steven Letterle (Cranston, RI) with a 166 (81, 85) and freshman Nathan Patterson (Conway, MA) 166 (82, 84) were in a tie for 54th place

In upcoming action, the Anchormen will tee off at the Westfield Invitational on Tuesday, Sept. 27 at (10 a.m.).
