DAYNA REILLY NAMED LITTLE EAST CONFERENCE
WOMENíS TENNIS PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Providence, R.I.-Rhode Island College junior Dayna Reilly (Swansea, MA) has been tabbed the Little East Conference Womenís Tennis Player of the Week for her performance in a 2-0 week for the Anchorwomen. It is the second time this season Reilly has received this honor.

 

Reilly went a perfect 2-0 in both singles and doubles action to help the Anchorwomen pick up wins over Curry and Western Connecticut. In singles action, Reilly didnít drop a single game on the week, posting a (6-0, 6-0) win at the No. 1 singles spot in a non-conference, 8-1, victory against Curry on Sept. 22. She followed that up with a (6-0, 6-0) win at the top singles spot against Western Connecticut in a Little East Conference victory, 9-0, on Sept. 24. 

 

 

 

Reilly was also undefeated in doubles action for the Anchorwomen, posting an 8-4 win at No. 1 doubles against Curry and an 8-1 victory at the top spot against Western Connecticut.

 

For the season, she is 6-1 at both No. 1 singles and No. 2 doubles.

 

In upcoming action, Rhode Island College will continue Little East Conference action at UMass Dartmouth on Tuesday, Sept. 27 (3:30 p.m.).
