Providence, R.I.-Rhode Island College has named Maria Valletta and Megan Willis-Bush as assistant women’s basketball coaches. They will assist Head Coach Glenn Senecal with all phases of the RIC women’s basketball program including recruiting, scouting, administering practice and game coaching.

“I’m really excited about the hiring of Maria and Megan to the women’s basketball coaching staff here at Rhode Island College,” Senecal said. “I feel that the excitement and enthusiasm they bring to the game will only benefit this year’s team and teams in the future. I’m looking forward to working with both coaches as a new season begins.”

Valletta joins the Anchorwomen with a wealth of playing and coaching experience.  A four-year starter and 2009 graduate from Johnson & Wales, Valletta has served as a coach with the Rhode Island Breakers AAU Travel team and has worked at camps and clinics throughout the region.
