JACQUELINE JUTRAS NAMED LITTLE EAST
WOMEN'S VOLLEYBALL ROOKIE OF THE WEEK

Providence, R.I.—Rhode Island College freshman setter Jacqueline Jutras (Foster, RI) has been honored as the Little East Conference Women’s Volleyball Rookie of the Week for her performance in a 2-1 week. Jutras helped the Anchorwomen defeat Nichols (3-0) and Mount Holyoke (3-1) along the way.

 

In the win over Nichols, Jutras notched six digs, five set assists and a block.  Jutras then narrowly missed her first career double-double with 11 kills and eight digs to go along with a pair of service aces in the victory against Mount Holyoke.  Justras wrapped up the week with four digs, three set assists and two kills in a 3-0 setback against Clark. For the season, Jutras has played in 46 sets in 14 matches. She is averaging 1.23 assists and 1.88 digs per set for the Anchorwomen.

 Head Coach Leo Bush's team is currently 7-7 overall and 0-2 in the Little East Conference.

 

In upcoming action, Rhode Island College will continue Little East Conference action at home against Eastern Connecticut on Tuesday, Oct. 4 (6 p.m.).
