KOMLA DOGBEY NAMED LITTLE EAST MEN'S SOCCER OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Providence, R.I.-Rhode Island College junior forward Komla Dogbey (Providence, RI) has been named the Little East Conference Menís Soccer Offensive Player of the Week for his performance in a 2-0 week for the Anchormen.

 

Dogbey tallied the third hat trick of his illustrious career, notching all three goals as RIC knocked off Worcester State, 3-0, in a non-conference contest played on Oct. 5.  The talented striker followed that up with an assist on the game-winner in the team's crucial, 2-1, victory against Western Connecticut in a Little East contest on Oct. 8.

 

 

 

For the season, he has played in 10 games, starting all of them. Dogbey leads the team in scoring with nine goals and five assists for 23 points. Two of his goals have been game-winners for the Anchormen.

 

In upcoming action, Rhode Island College will travel to Gordon for a non-conference contest on Tuesday, Oct. 11 (3:30 p.m.).
