CARNEY LEADS ANCHORMEN AT
WESTERN NEW ENGLAND INVITATIONAL

Springfield, Mass.-The Rhode Island College menís cross country team traveled to the Western New England University Invitational on Saturday morning. The Anchormen did not score as a team. SUNY Delhi won the meet (21 teams) with a team score of 34.

 

RIC junior Jonathan Carney (Bristol, RI) finished the 8K course in 28th place (193 runners) with a time of (28:24). Freshman Helder Gomes (Pawtucket, RI) notched a 54th place finish (29:05), while sophomore Jeff Garson (Cumberland, RI) placed 104th (31:06) for the Anchormen.

 In upcoming action, Rhode Island College will compete at the Little East Conference Championship, hosted by UMass Dartmouth on Saturday, Oct. 29 (11:15 a.m.).
