JULIE REDDY NAMED LITTLE EAST
WOMEN’S TENNIS PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Providence, R.I.-Rhode Island College senior Julie Reddy (Smithfield, RI) has been named the Little East Conference Women’s Tennis Player of the Week for her performance in a 2-0 week for the Anchorwomen.

 

Reddy reached a career milestone, picking up her 100th career victory (51 singles, 49 doubles) in the Anchorwomen’s, 8-1, win at Plymouth State on Saturday, Oct. 15. The Anchorwomen clinched a share of the 2016 Little East Conference Regular Season Championship with the win. Reddy went 1-1 at No. 2 singles and paired with junior Dayna Reilly (Swansea, MA) to go 2-0 at No. 1 doubles to help RIC improve to 12-1 for the year.

 

 

 

The senior captain has posted a 10-3 record at the No. 2 singles spot and a 12-1 mark at No. 1 doubles for the Anchorwomen this season.

 

In upcoming action, Rhode Island College will host a semifinal match of the 2016 Little East Conference Women’s Tennis Championship on Thursday, Oct. 20.
