LETTERLE LEADS ANCHORMEN AFTER DAY ONE
AT NEIGA CHAMPIONSHIPS

Brewster, Mass.--The Rhode Island College menís golf squad is currently tied for 14th place (20 teams) with a first-day score of 331 at the 2016 New England Intercollegiate Golf Association (NEIGA) Div. III Championships, held at The Captainís Golf Course  on Sunday. Nichols (307) is in first place, 24 strokes ahead of the Anchormen.

 

RIC was led by senior Steve Letterle (Cranston, RI), who sits in a tie for 19th place (79), while sophomore Tom Sheran (Marston Mills, MA) is in a tie for 42nd (82). Junior Austin Cilley (Westerly, RI) and senior John Roderick (Hope, RI) each carded an 85, which is good for a 66th place tie. Junior Drew Quirk (Longmeadow, MA) rounded out the Anchormen golfers, finishing the first round in a tie for 75th (86).
