MEN'S GOLF WRAPS UP FALL CAMPAIGN WITH 15TH PLACE FINISH AT NEIGA CHAMPIONSHIPS

Brewster, Mass.--The Rhode Island College menís golf team took home a 15th place finish (20 teams) with a two-day score of 660 (331, 329) at the 2016 New England Intercollegiate Golf Association (NEIGA) Div. III Championships, held at The Captainís Golf Course on Oct. 23-24. Babson captured the team championship with a score of 617 (311, 306).

 

Senior Steve Letterle (Cranston, RI) paced RIC with a tie for 27th place after a two-round total of 161 (79, 82). Junior Austin Cilley (Westerly, RI) finished in a tie for 46th with a 164 (85, 79), while sophomore Tom Sheran (Marston Mills, MA) notched a tie for 56th with a 165 (82, 83). Junior Drew Quirk (Longmeadow, MA) finished in a tie for 76th place with a 171 (86, 85), while senior John Roderick (Hope, RI) rounded out the Anchormen golfers, finishing the tournament in a tie for 84th with a 173 (85, 88).

The Anchormen have wrapped up the fall portion of this yearís schedule and will return to action in the Spring of 2017.
