RIC MEN'S CROSS COUNTRY WRAPS UP 2016 SEASON
AT NCAA DIV. III NEW ENGLAND REGIONAL

Westfield, Mass.-The Rhode Island College women’s cross country team finished the 2016 season with a 46th-place (59 teams) finish at the NCAA Div. III New England Championship, hosted by Westfield State at Stanley Park on Saturday afternoon. 

 

The Anchorwomen finished the 6K course with 1,347.0 points while MIT took home first place with 68.0 points.

 

 

 Sophomore Margaret McCaffrey

 

Sophomore Margaret McCaffrey (East Greenwich, RI) was the top finisher for the Anchorwomen, notching a 237th place finish (25:21.89), while freshman Cassidy Bissitt (Smithfield, RI) recorded a 264th place finish (25:53.11). Junior Briana Lenihan (Saunderstown, RI) was right behind Bissitt, placing 265th (25:53.40), while freshman Analise England (Smithfield, RI) tallied a 300th place finish (26:27.19).

 

Senior Allison Lomas (Saunderstown, RI) clocked in at (26:36.38), which was good for 305th place finish, with senior Abigail Dandurand (Hope Valley, RI) notching a 357th place finish (28:21.62). Sophomore Veronica Northup (Hope, RI) rounded out the Anchorwomen contingent, placing 388th (30:43.26).
