WAGNAC WINS THE 400M HURDLES AT
SEAN COLLIER INVITATIONAL

Providence, R.I.--Freshman Jephte Wagnac (Providence, RI) placed first in the 400m hurdles (54.88) and second in the triple jump (13.00m) as the Rhode Island College menís track & field team competed at the 2017 Sean Collier Invitational, hosted by MIT on Saturday afternoon. It was an individual meet with no team scoring.

Junior Matthew Charles (North Providence, RI) placed second in the 200m (23.06) and sixth in the 100m (11.55).

 

Freshman Jahnold Bruce (Newport, RI) placed sixth in the 200m (23.56) and 13th in the 100m (11.79).

 

Sophomore Destin Bibemi (Providence, RI) placed sixth in the 400m (51.55) and 10th in the 200m (23.80).

 

Junior Victor Santos (Narragansett, RI) placed second in the 110m hurdles (16.14) and seventh in the 400m hurdles (1:00.25)

 

Senior Colin Cabral (Cumberland, RI) placed fourth in the hammer (44.38m), eighth in the shot (12.76m) and 12th in the discus (42.32m).

 

Junior Shamar Spruill (Providence, RI) placed third in the hammer (47.71m), fourth in the discus (42.32m) and 18th in the shot (11.19m).

 

Freshman Joe Palazzo (Providence, RI) placed sixth in the hammer (39.73m).

 

In upcoming action, Rhode Island College will compete at the N.E. Alliance Championships, hosted by Westfield State on Saturday, April 29.
