WAGNAC, YUSUFF & BRUNELLE EARN WEEKLY
LITTLE EAST CONFERENCE TRACK & FIELD HONORS

Providence, R.I.-Rhode Island College freshman Jephte Wagnac (Providence, RI), freshman Oluwafunmibi Yusuff (Providence, RI) and sophomore Melanie Brunelle (Warwick, RI) were recognized for their respective performances at MITís Sean Collier Invitational on Saturday, April 22.

 

Wagnac was named the Little East Menís Field Rookie of the Week. He placed first in the 400m hurdles (54.88) and second in the triple jump (13.00m).

 

Yusuff was named the Little East Womenís Field Rookie of the Week. She  finished fourth in the hammer (45.17m) and 20th in the shot (27.59m).

 

Brunelle was named  as the Little East Womenís Field Athlete of the Week. She won the triple jump (11.47m) and placed second in the long jump (5.26m). Brunelle was also a member of the first place 4x100m relay (49.89).

 

In upcoming action, Rhode Island College will compete at 2017 New England Alliance Championships, hosted by Westfield State on Saturday, April 29.
