RHODE ISLAND COLLEGE PLACES 15 STUDENTĖATHLETES
ON FALL ALL-ACADEMIC TEAM

Providence, R.I.- Fifteen Rhode Island College student-athletes were named to the 2016 Little East Conference Fall All-Academic team as announced by the league office today.

 

Student-athletes earned recognition on the all-academic teams based on the following criteria: at least a sophomore in academic and athletic standing and a minimum cumulative grade point average of a 3.3. The conference office honored student-athletes in the following sports: menís and womenís cross country, menís and womenís soccer, womenís tennis and womenís volleyball.

 

The following student-athletes were recognized:

 

Menís Cross Country: Junior Jonathan Carney (Bristol, RI).

 

Womenís Cross Country: Senior Abigail Dandurand (Hope Valley, RI), junior Briana Lenihan (Saunderstown, RI) and senior Allison Lomas (Saunderstown, RI).

 

Menís Soccer: Junior Cooper Ferreira (Westerly, RI) and junior Dylan Pacheco (Tiverton, RI).

 

Womenís Soccer: Sophomore Eleni Grammas (Cranston, RI), sophomore Nicole Grammas (Cranston, RI) and junior Stephanie Ricci (Smithfield, RI).

 

Womenís Tennis: Sophomore Katherine Braganca (Pawtucket, RI), senior Jorgie Martin (Greenville, RI), junior Laura Nastasi (Smithville, NJ) and junior Dayna Reilly (Swansea, MA).

 

Womenís Volleyball: Senior Megan Armburg (Swansea, MA) and Nicole Thibodeau (Loxahatchee, FL).
