MEN'S TRACK & FIELD COMPETES AT
JOHN THOMAS TERRIER INVITATIONAL

Boston, Mass.-The Rhode Island College menís indoor track & field team competed at the Boston University John Thomas Terrier Classic, hosted by Boston University held at the Reggie Lewis Center on Saturday.

 

RIC freshman Jephte Wagnac (Providence, RI) placed 24th in the triple jump (12.22m) and finished in 44th place in the 400m (50.30). Wagnac also ran the second leg of the 4x400m relay team (3:21.01) that finished 14th. Fellow rookie Levon Campbell (Newport, RI) took 43rd in the 60m (7.31) and was 62nd in the 200m (22.54). Campbell ran the lead leg of the 4x400m relay team (3:21.01) that placed 14th.

 

Sophomore Destin Bibemi (Providence, RI) registered a 45th place in the 400m (50.31) and ran the third leg of the 4x400m relay team (3:21.01) that finished 14th. Bibemi also finished 42nd in the long jump (5.32m).

Junior Vincent Santos (Narragansett, RI) recorded a 41st place finish in the 60m hurdles (9.00), while junior Matthew Charles (North Kingstown, RI) posted a 97th place finish in the 200m (22.92). Senior Joel Ikuejamofo (North Providence, RI) finished 123rd in the 200m (23.31) and ran the anchor leg of the 14th-place 4x400m relay team (3:21.01).

 

RIC junior Shamar Spruill (Providence, RI) took eighth the weight throw (16.84m), while freshman Joseph Palazzo (Providence, RI) finished 33rd (11.51m) in the same event. Sophomore Adam Stomberg (West Greenwich, RI) also competed in the weight throw for the Anchormen and finished 36th (9.29m).

 

In upcoming action, Rhode Island College will compete at the University of Rhode Island Invitational on Saturday, Feb. 4 (11 a.m.).
