RIC WOMEN'S GYMNASTICS FINISHES FOURTH
AT DON TONRY BULLDOG INVITATIONAL

New Haven, Conn.-The Rhode Island College women’s gymnastics team placed fourth at the Don Tonry Bulldog Invitational, hosted by Yale on Saturday afternoon. The Anchorwomen finished with a team score of 172.800, while Bridgeport took home the team title with a score of 193.175. Host Yale finished in second place with a score of 191.275, while Southern Connecticut was in third place with a 184.950 on the day.

 

RIC junior Corrine Paul (North Easton, MA) recorded a 19th-place finish on vault (9.100) and posted an 18th-place finish on bars (8.425). Junior Erin Shea (Braintree, MA) tied for 16th on floor (9.150) and recorded a 20th-place finish on vault (8.900) for the Anchorwomen.

 

RIC sophomore Allie DiBiase (North Kingstown, RI) finished in third place in the all-around (34.450). DiBiase also registered a 16th-place finish on bars (8.925).

Freshman Grace Davis (Royersford, PA) notched a 16th-place finish on beam (8.875) and was 17th on floor (8.975).

 

Sophomore Miranda Murphy (Lansdale, PA) was the top finisher for RIC on beam, placing 14th (9.125) and also finished third overall in all-around (34.450).

 

In upcoming action, Rhode Island College will travel to Cortland State for a tri-match with Springfield on Sunday, Feb. 5 (1 p.m.).
