MENíS TRACK & FIELD COMPETES AT URI

Kingston, R.I.-The Rhode Island College menís indoor track & field team competed at the Coaches Tribute T&F Invitational, hosted by the University of Rhode Island at The Mackal Fieldhouse on Saturday.

 

The Anchormen placed 10th (13 teams) with a team score of 24.0. URI won the met with a score of 193.0. 

 

 Senior Joel Ikuejamofo (Providence, RI) placed fifth in the 400m (51.92). He also placed second as a member of the 4x400m relay (3:24.87).

 Freshman Jephte Wagnac (Providence, RI) placed sixth in the triple jump (12.90m), ninth in the 400m (52.63) and 16th in the long jump (5.80m). He also placed second as a member of the 4x400m relay (3:24.87).

 

 Sophomore Destin Bibemi (Providence, RI) was fourth in the 500m (1:08.38). He also placed second as a member of the 4x400m relay (3:24.87).

 

 Junior Victor Santos (Narragansett, RI) registered a 13th place finish in the preliminary round of the 60m hurdles (8.97) and was 39th in the 300m (24.44).

 

RIC freshman Levon Campbell (Newport, RI) placed 16th in the preliminary round of the 60m (7.26). He also placed second as a member of the 4x400m relay (3:24.87).

 

Junior Shamar Spruill (Providence, RI) posted a fifth place finish in the weight throw (16.79m).

 

In upcoming action, Rhode Island College will compete at the 2017 Little East Conference Championships, hosted by Southern Maine Saturday, Feb. 11.
